Kevin Buck and his grandfather Harold Townsend wait for the survivor lap to start at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Franklin at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital. Fifteen year old Kevin Buck was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma when he was 13-years-old. He is still in treatment for cancer but managed to walk the last half of the survivors lap. The ACS Relay for Life events are fundraising events that help support cancer research and provide a sense of community for cancer patients, survivors and their care givers. The events typically last 24 hours with each relay lap dedicated to a certain theme. Mike Wolanin / Daily Journal
