Nine year old cancer survivor Karley Spears (right) looks at her mom Angie Faudree's phone after walking the survivors lap at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Franklin at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital. Karley was diagnosed with lymphoma and has been cancer free for one year. The ACS Relay for Life events are fundraising events that help support cancer research and provide a sense of community for cancer patients, survivors and their care givers. The events typically last 24 hours with each relay lap dedicated to a certain theme. Mike Wolanin / Daily Journal
