Danny Scott Jr., right, talks with his adult skills provider Fredrick King before the Pinwheel for Prevention event at the Johnson County branch of the Indiana Department of Child Services in Franklin, Ind. The Pinwheel for Prevention event was designed to raise public awareness for child abuse and the services used to prevent such acts from happening. Scott was placed in foster care with Ernie and Penny Jasper when he was 16-years-old. He graduates from Whiteland Community High School May 30, 2014. After graduation he plans to attend Franklin College to study criminal justice. Johnson County had 3,272 reports about suspected child abuse in 2013 of which 212 were substantiated.
