Franklin Mayor Joe McGuinness hands the PGA of America President Ted Bishop a framed letter declaring May 3, 2014 FootGolf day during the opening ceremony for the first FootGolf competition to take place at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin, Ind. The Legends Golf Club has the first certified FootGolf course in the state of Indiana. FootGolf is a new sport mixing the rules and traditions of soccer and golf. Players must follow a dress code similar to golf and use regulation soccer balls. The greens have 21-inch cups sunk into their surfaces. Mike Wolanin / Daily Journal
