Macenzie Hawkins, 7, smiles while holding her mother's hands as she sits on her hospital bed before starting a round of chemotherapy for neuroblastoma at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Neuroblastoma is a cancer that occurs most commonly in young children. Macenzie was diagnosed with neuroblastoma after doctors discovered a baseball-sized tumor behind her stomach in February of 2014. She has undergone an aggressive chemotherapy treatment at Riley Hospital. She started another round of chemotherapy treatments on May 15, 2014. Mike Wolanin / Daily Journal
