Self Defense instructor Jeff Patterson explains the some of the fundamentals of self-defense to women in the Girls on Guard self-defense class, Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, inside the Purdue Extension building at the Johnson County 4H Fairgrounds in Franklin, Ind.
