Workers use machinery to remove old pipes from along Worthsville Road on Monday. Greenwood started a project to widen Worthsville Road, between U.S. 31 and Interstate 65 in preparation for a new interchange planned to be built next year. The city had planned to open the stretch of road between U.S. 31 and the railroad tracks by winter, but work to move utility lines was delayed. Workers have instead been doing work on other sections of the road, including between the railroad tracks and Sheek Road. Scott Roberson / Daily Journal
