KIm Williams holds an iPhone to time the dose of Xofigo, a new prostate cancer treatment, Radiation Oncologist Dr. Michael Eaton administers to Robert Wright at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. For one minute Dr. Eaton delivered the dose of the drug Xofigo, by intravenous injection into Wright's arm. Wright will receive a total of one injection every four weeks, for a total of six injections, to complete his treatment for prostate cancer. Wright, a retired teacher and WWII veteran, was diagnosed with prostate cancer seven years ago. After being diagnosed he underwent hormone therapy until the treatment failed earlier this year. Wright was selected to receive Xofigo because it works best on his type of cancer and it became available for use in cancer treatment around the time he stopped hormone therapy. Wrightbwas the first cancer patient in Indiana to receive Xofigo. Mike Wolanin / Daily Journal
