Christopher Long, 10, left, and his brother Nicholas Long, 6, decorate their own cocoa mugs during a class at the Art of Kira Studio in Franklin on Dec. 13. The students were able to use markers to make a unique design on the mug, then place them in the oven to bake the design into the ceramic. The Art of Kira Studio is one of the many eclectic and artistic businesses that have made a home in the Alva Neal Community Building, a former school in downtown Franklin.
