Chase Smith, a swimmer at Indian Creek Middle School, hops over on one leg to the pool after resting his crutches against the wall to warm up for the 100m butterfly for a swim meet at Indian Creek High School in Trafalgar, Ind., Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015. Smith has Ewing's sarcoma, a rare cancer found in bone and soft tissue. Doctors found the cancer in Smith's femur. He started treatment in July of 2014. His doctors removed the middle part of his femur and replaced it with a plate and a bone graft. Smith also went through chemotherapy following his surgery.
