Johnson County Sheriff's Office Deputy Brian Baird fist bumps a fourth-grader while other students pet K-9 officer Benny on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Creekside Elementary School. For the past 15 years, Baird and his wife, Beth, have brought one of their K-9 officers to area elementary schools to talk about different aspects of personal safety. Baird retired from the program, but the sheriff's office is in the process of finding and training a new officer to continue the program. Scott Roberson / Daily Journal
