The scope used by Dr. Faisal Khan, a pulmanologist with Franciscan Health, as part of a new magnetic imaging and mapping technique to better treat lung cancer. The system uses magnetic fields and an extremely small scope to reach the farthest portions of the lungs, allowing Khan to take a biopsy of potentially cancerous spots so doctors can figure out what it is and how to treat it more efficiently.
